Italian shoes – how much in these sounds for the heart of the female merged… and unsurprisingly, in a country resembling an elegant boot with its outlines, just can’t make bad shoes! And if you add to this the Italian creativity and Milan business acumen, where not in Milan can take place the most important business exhibition of shoes in the world? I am proud to say that I was lucky enough to work as an interpreter at the MICAM 84° (and I very much hope that our cooperation with the exhibition will continue) and in this article I want to tell you more about this great event of the world business.
To whom is the Shoe exhibition MICAM?
Of course, the industry exhibition in Milan will primarily be of interest to professionals in the footwear industry: manufacturers, distributors, buyers in areas such as shoes, bags and leather goods, accessories for leather shops.
Like all industry exhibitions in Milan, MICAM is a closed exhibition, i.e. to enter it you need to register either on the website or at the reception Desk before entering the exhibition (I always advise you to do this in advance on the site, time saves a lot). The MICAM is held twice a year, in September and February: in September the spring-summer collections of the next season, in February the autumn-winter collections are presented. As for all exhibitions of this magnitude in Milan, the venue of the MICAM is the Fiera Rho exhibition center.
What is different from other MICAM footwear exhibition?
First, the scale of the exhibition: 84° was officially registered 47.187 visitors (+5.6% compared to September 2016 exhibition), of which 27.880 foreign guests (+5%) and 19.307 visitors from Italy (+6.5%). The exhibitors were presented 1.441, of which 797 Italian and 644 foreign. In the international sphere, compared with the September MICAM last year, the largest increase of buyers registers.!! (+32%) and CIS countries as a whole. They are followed by the USA (+15%), China and Hong Kong (+7%). (Information courtesy of ASSOCALZATURIFICI).
Secondly, MICAM exhibition is perhaps the most glamorous of all industry exhibitions: in fact, along with the rest of the exhibitors it is attended by such giants of Italian fashion as Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada and TOD’s, to which the MICAM 84° added famous brands Giorgio Armani, Jimmy Choo, Dolce&Gabanna, Sergio Rossi and Ermenegildo Zegna.
All these brands make up the so-called Fashion Square in the first pavilion. The spectacle is not for the faint of heart!
By the way, the whole MICAM divided into thematic groups of the exhibition in the exhibition remain about the same:
1-3 LUXURY pavilion – the name speaks for itself, this is where Fashion Square of all the most famous fashion brands is located,
MAN SQUARE and SQUARE STYLE.
More about glamour: it was on theMICAM 84°, in the first pavilion LUXURY, popular TV presenter Zhanna badoeva presented her debut collection of shoes, which, I must say, a great success! Well, as there was no picture and do not wish Jeanne good luck?!
