9th International Exhibition “Footwear. The World of Skin 2018. Spring was held from 20 to 23 March 2018 in the Expocentre Fairgrounds, organizers said.
Exhibition, “Footwear. The World of Skin 2018. Spring, organized by Expocentre and the Italian company Bologna Fiere, with the official support of the Association of Italian Shoe Manufacturers (Assocalzaturifici) and the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, was successful, once again proving its status as the main exhibition event in the world of footwear fashion in Russia. On the popular business site, the legislators of the European and world footwear fashion traditionally met with representatives of wholesale companies and stores. At the last exhibition the leading manufacturers and famous designers of footwear, bags and accessories from leather demonstrated new collections of footwear and leather goods of the autumn-winter season 2018/2019 of medium and high price segments.

The exhibition was attended by companies from 12 countries. On an area of ​​about 4 500 square meters. The participants from Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Republic of Belarus, Russia, San Marino, Thailand, Turkey, France presented their fashion collections.

Compared with last year, the number of exhibitors increased by 10.8%. Traditionally the most large-scale was the national exposition of Italy.

ICE Agency – the department for trade exchange development of the Italian Embassy for the second time organized a special project, the task of which was to present completely new Italian companies in the Russian market.

The exhibition was visited by the director of the Moscow representation of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Marisa Florio, who highly appreciated the level of organization and holding of the show.

A wide selection of footwear models for men, women and children was shown by such leaders of the world footwear market as Dino Bigioni, Marino Fabiani, Baldinini, Fabi, Loriblu, Nando Muzi, Accademia, Cromia, Marino Orlandi, Ripani, Valentino Orlandi and many other well-known brands.

The show of novelties of shoe fashion complemented a diverse assortment of specialized salon of handbags, leather goods and accessories, the exhibitors of which became the world’s leading brands Cromia, Valentino Orlandi, Orlandi Marino, Di Gregorio, Ripani, Arcadia, Carlo Salvatelli and many other companies.

Representatives of retail chains, stores, wholesale companies and trading houses held negotiations and concluded contracts with the leading manufacturers of footwear and leather goods. For four days of work the exhibition was visited by specialists from 24 countries and from 78 regions of the Russian Federation, the number of visitors to the spring exhibition increased by 9.7%.

In the online mode, the project “Expocenter” – for exhibitions without counterfeit “, aimed at combating the violation of exclusive rights to intellectual property.

To orient in the modern trends of fashion and the market, an effective purchase of goods was helped by a trend-tour around the stands of exhibitors, which was first shown at the spring exhibition “Footwear. World of Skin “was held by the founder of the Russian research bureau” Trendskvaer “Ksenia Lery. The successfully launched project will be continued at the next exhibition.

The exposition of the Trends of Leather Goods project focused on new collections, which were demonstrated by 19 participants: Alexander-TS, Angi Venezia, Arcadia, Beitler, Carlo Salvatelli, Faetano, Ghibli, Giudi, Hymy Bags, Moia, Nicoli, Ripani, Roberta Firenze, Robinzon , Sara Burglar, Stampa Brio, Valentino Orlandi, Mia Donna, Accent Gloves.

The events of the business program of the exhibition were addressed to the owners of trading enterprises of footwear and leather goods. Experts of the industry told about fashion trends in the footwear market, held seminars, exchanged experience in retail trade.

The events were held by Expocentre in partnership with ProFashion, Arno Business School, AKFA transport and logistics company, Trendskvaer bureau, SmartLines, Demis Group, VM Guru agency, NLT TRADE LLC.
Within the framework of the exhibition, useful business seminars were held:

Seminar for owners and directors of trading footwear companies “How to properly sign a foreign trade contract with suppliers from Italy, Spain, Turkey and other European countries and prevent mistakes in conditions of increasing state control over document circulation. “Trends vs preferences of the Russian audience”;
“Legalization of imports and business security in the face of increased control by the state”;
“How to increase sales from your site through adaptive design”;
“How to create an effective store of shoes and accessories and avoid mistakes from the very beginning.”
Presentations were made by: Astanda Chegya, leading stylist and trainer of PROfashion Consulting; Andrey Arno, head of Arno Business School, business coach, business development consultant; Chernyshev Alexey, Commercial Director of the AKFA Group; Ksenia Lery, the founder of the bureau “Trendskvaer”, a graduate of the Higher School of Applied Arts “Mariz Elua” (Paris), a prize winner of the international design competition IFDesign, a teacher at the British Higher School of Design; Maria Kizhaeva, Deputy Financial Director of SmartLines; Natalia Kalinushkina, Head of “Usability” department and design of Demis Group; Anna Balandina, founder and head of the agency VM Guru.

Leading experts of the industry conducted master classes. Astanda Chegia noted that the appearance of the seller is a reflection of the store’s DNA and a pledge of customer loyalty. Mikhail Gusmanov, the head of NLT Trade, a well-known expert in the field of LED shop lighting, described how lighting affects the perception of the store, pointed to standard lighting errors that kill sales. All presentations are based on practical experience of implemented projects.
